Competing against Mountain View Spartans on Dec. 12, Gabrielino’s girls varsity basketball team began the year with a bang as they received a running clock in the fourth quarter and won, 62-26. This soon became a trend as the Lady Eagles dominated the court in the Mission Valley League, setting off four more continuous clocks before the season ended.
The team only suffered defeats to Rosemead High School, and gained an overall league score of 10 wins, two losses.
“I have no regrets,” stated captain Taylor Vuong. “This team is a family, and the bond that I created with everyone this year is the thing I’ll miss the most.”
The girls’ season concluded in the second round of the CIF Championships when they lost against Saint Bonaventure High School.
