“Going into speech I picked OA because it really gave me a chance to open my mind to the change that I can bring into the world, it allows me to have a voice and uphold all of my potential on real world problems and possible solutions” junior Lin Knudsen stated.
Original Advocacy is an event where students find real world problems and advocate legislative solutions to these issues. They range from issues within the news to current events going on around the world.
Though this event is not well known it is one of the most effective and change evoking. It is also one of the most difficult events due to the extensive research of information needed to propose a solution in the speech.
“Our mission in Original Advocacy is to spread knowledge about political issues while giving a voice to the voiceless” senior, Noli Thai stated.
