Gabrielino High School’s girls volleyball team had a successful season once again. The girls were Mission Valley League Champions for the 17th year in a row, and ended their season undefeated with a record of 12-0. At CIF Preliminaries, the Lady Eagles were able to advance to second round before they lost.
With each player having tight relationships with one another, playing as a unit this season was not a difficult task.
“This team went through a lot as individuals in our personal lives,” senior Joy Hano stated. “But no one ever felt alone because we all bonded together to form a family on the court.”
With four girls placing in first team all league and two placing in second team all league, the girls proved their hard work and dedication to the sport.
“This season I made bonds that will last a lifetime,” said senior Reagan Duguid. “Going to CIF and winning league was the best way possible to end my senior season on the team.”
