It’s October now, which means it’s the season for all things spooky and Halloween-themed. What better way to celebrate than by watching a scary movie? For those who are really into the scary parts of scary movies, these films have you shaking in your boots for sure.
10. The Conjuring
This is ranked at ten, since honestly, it’s not scary. Many would say this movie is more at beginner level due to its tendency to go easy on the audience. Its censorship ranks itself.
9. Evil Dead Rise
Still not being that scary, this movie is great if it is your first time getting into scary movies. Still going easy on the audience, the image of family is used a lot in this movie. I would say this is more of a family movie.
8. The Exorcist
This movie is a classic, the storyline comes together beautifully. So, it pains me to rank it at 8 but in terms of scariness, it has to be done.
7. IT(1990)
IT is ranked at seven because although it has some good scenes, it really doesn’t deserve anything above seven. Besides, who is really scared of clowns in this day and age?
6. Beetlejuice Beetlejuice
This thriller will send shivers down your spine. You can tell that the directors put in some really hard work to get the movie to be so spooky.
5. Nacho Libre
The fight scenes in the movie are truly disturbing, the imagery is both amazing and scary.
4. Spider-man 3
In this movie, you will find that Spider-Man’s alter ego is so underrated and scary. Likely a symbol of the ego every one of us has, which is truly terrifying.
3. The Addams Family
This movie would be perfect for Halloween scares, its eerie feeling sets the tone for the rest of the night.
2. Ratatouille
If you have a phobia of rats, this is not recommended. The traumatizing scenes will leave you scarred for life. Can you just imagine all those rats in a kitchen? So unsanitary.
1. Shrek
Honestly, I don’t even want to talk about it. This movie left me with nightmares for days. If you actually like this movie, get help. It even hurts to look at the poster.
