1933-2020
On Sept. 18, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg died at the age of 87. She was the longest serving female justice on the Supreme Court, having been appointed in 1993. Ginsburg was known as a champion of gender rights and social justice in the 1970s, earning her the affectionate title of ‘Notorious RBG.’ Not only was she an incredibly articulate speaker, as a lawyer and a justice, but she was also a hard-working mother and wife. She will be missed, and her legacy of equality will live on in the hearts and minds of the American people.
