Snowman Bread and Onion Dip (serves 8)

    Bread and dip is a common finger food for many parties, but the Snowman Bread and Onion Dip will surely provide a festive twist to anyone’s Christmas dinner party. Easy to make and delicious to eat, this simple dish will leave everyone wanting more.

    Ingredients:
    12 frozen dinner rolls
    8 oz cream cheese, softened
    1 cup sour cream
    1 medium sweet vidalia onion, diced
    1 cup shredded white cheddar, divided
    salt, to taste
    pepper, to taste
    16 small tomato slices
    8 small carrot pieces
    32 black peppercorns

    Preparation:
    1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
    2. Thaw the dinner rolls. Split four of them in half, and roll them into small balls. Place on a greased baking sheet, cover with a kitchen towel, and let rise.
    3. In a medium bowl, combine the cream cheese, onion, ¾ cup (75 gram) of white cheddar, salt, and pepper. Spread the dip into a greased pie dish and sprinkle with the remaining ¼ cup (25 gram) of cheddar.
    4. Bake for 30 minutes.
    5. Remove the dip from the oven and top with the dinner rolls, larger ones on the outside, smaller ones on the inside.
    6. Decorate each pair of rolls with pieces of tomato for the scarf, a piece of carrot for the nose, and peppercorns for the eyes and buttons. Make sure to push them in hard!
    7. Bake for an additional 20 minutes.
