Dedicated. Strong. United.
For the varsity girls swim, the end of the season marked many victories. The girls finished undefeated in the Almont League with a record of 6-0. This streak was followed by them being named Co-League Champions, sharing the title with Mark Keppel High School.
“This year was the first year in over a decade that we got League Champs,” co-captain Victoria Sam, senior, stated. “We gave a lot of early morning workouts [and] long afternoon practices […] and we saw the results at league.”
Competition aside, the team solidified their bond as a team throughout the year. Their unity allowed them to encourage and inspire one another both in and out of the pool.
“There’s a feeling of comradery,” sophomore Chloe Nimpoeno explained. “You’re motivated to not only swim for yourself but also the rest of the team.”
