“Every individual on the team has talent,” stated team captain Alex Lau, junior. “The lack of seriousness was our downfall.”
This year, the varsity boys volleyball team ended their Mission Valley League season with a record of 0-8. This score was far from the team’s expectations for the season, but that does not mean efforts were not made.
“We performed our best during practices, but struggled to bring that to our games,” senior Vincent Lee said. “I hope that next year the team can work hard and bring that mentality to the matches.
Floor captain Matthew Lau remains hungry with expectations for next year.
“We have a lot of unspoken talent, we just need to learn to work together as a unit rather than to work as an individual,” claims Lau. “My expectations for next year is to bounce back and get some wins.”
