This year, the varsity softball team composed of 18 girls, which is a larger number compared to previous seasons.
As a result of a bigger team, the girls experienced difficulties communicating on the field and ended with a record of 4-8. However, working with more people has allowed them to form new bonds with each other.
Although the team was unable to qualify for CIF, the positive energy the girls possessed helped them win games. They also cheered for each other to lift up their teammates during games where they could not play their best.
“My favorite memories are the bus rides home,” said co-captain Sophia Littlefield, junior. “I’ve learned so much about the other girls on the bus that would’ve never came up while on the field.”
