This season, the girls golf team started their season off on a rough patch as five of their top golfers graduated last year. In addition to this, the team moved up a division from the Montview League, to the Rio Hondo League, putting them against tougher teams. Despite these challenges, the team continued to work hard and aim high.
“It was a little disheartening at first when we realized we wouldn’t be able to come back with the same titles as we did in the previous years,” explained captain Samantha Tang, senior. “But in the end, we focused on breaking our own personal records.”
The Lady Eagles ended their season with a record of 4-6, and were able to secure a spot in CIF. During CIF, they made it past first round, but were unable to advance to the second round, which ended their season.
“I’m proud of all the effort we put into golfing and how much we were able to achieve this year, despite our circumstances,” stated Tang.
