Attack on the living by the living dead

Last Friday, as Principal Sharron Heinrich introduced Gabrielino High School’s Homecoming Court during the halftime show at the Homecoming game, the San Gabriel Police Department staggered up the bleachers and started attacking the students.
At the end of the night, 70 bodies were found sprawled all over the bleachers with 186 detached limbs on the field. However, the administration was able to guide the remaining students to the big gymnasium within 30 minutes of the attack to protect them against the zombies outside.
“I watched one of my friends get torn into pieces and wanted to call 911, but the police were already there attacking us,” said senior Chloe Law.
Two hours after, the zombies dispersed and the remaining students were able to get home safely. At 11 p.m., the death toll had climbed to 90. At 12 a.m., the Los Angeles Police Department released a public service announcement on their Twitter warning SoCal residents to stay inside and to lock all doors.
On Saturday morning, October 20th, 45 more SoCal residents were found dead and 82 were reported missing by family members. All schools in California were reported to be shut down until further notice by the California Department of Education. Scientists began working to find an anecdote for those affected.
“I can’t believe this is happening,” junior Leslie Lim cried, “they canceled Homecoming, I had a cute date.”
Medical researchers have discovered that victims experience pain and discoloration in the affected area within the first hour. This was followed by fever and vomiting within the second hour, and paralysis, loss of muscle coordination, and zero brain activity by the third.
“When we first arrived at the hospital, my dad had pain in his shoulder. The doctors gave him some anesthetic and said he would be fine,” said senior Megan Tran. “Three hours later, he was pronounced dead and was prepared for cremation, but by 7 a.m. he had disappeared.”
There have been 36 similar cases of patients leaving the hospital before the break of dawn, but no zombie has been captured ever since.
Zombies have been spotted by residents living in Oregon, Nevada, and New Mexico. Many have claimed that they frequent public areas such as schools, parks, and shopping centers.
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has determined this attack to be a code red and called it “ the most severe terrorist attack we have ever seen.” U.S. residents have received a President Alert advising to follow the Zombie Survival Guide posted on the Federal Government’s website.
