MAKING CONNECTIONS Members of Gabrielino High School’s Connect program celebrate the holidays early during a lunch meeting on Dec. 7. By giving English learners the opportunity to practice their language skills and participate in various group activities, Connect aims to help the students feel more immersed in the school community as a whole. Connect is led by San Gabriel Unified School District’s community liaisons, Lizzette Bustamonte, Mandy Ng, and Hai Pham.
