“Guard has taught me to not let the little things affect me, I can’t let [any negativity] ruin my whole day,” said Beltran. “We have things to do, things to work on and I can’t dwell on the little things.”
Repetitive, rephrase this to cut out the part of Beltran being part of the team for 4 years. not only as a Guard Captain, but also as someone who knows how to handle things in a timely manner.
“Being captain has definitely taught me not to be scared of telling people what I think, since at the end of the day, we need to get things done,” Beltran added.
Along with being a Color Guard captain, De Leon also participates in basketball. As some say, consistency is the key to success Leon exemplified this by earning the “Most Improved” award in Guard during her first year.
“(Color guard) taught me a lot about myself is how I’m not good at handling high-stress situations but I’m getting better,” De Leon commented.
Learning how to separate being a friend and being a leader is a loaded task for anyone to handle, however, De Leon tackles that challenge headfirst.
“My job is to make sure people stay on task and stay on top of their work so e on the same page as a team,” De Leon stated.
“ I have hope for this year I have hope for this year to be fun and exciting and I have hope that will be able to learn a lot” De Leon commented

I have got to speak out on what’s wrong and the problems that we have within band off to speak out on that have to call it up and communicate more with other leaders and the directors so we could fix it” Navarro added.
