Although autumn is in full swing, the weather has barely started to cool down. Here are some ways to stay cool amidst the continuing heat.
10. Ice cream face mask: Enjoy a scoop or two of ice cream while wearing an ice cream face mask. Just make sure to ignore the melting and stickiness.
9. Frozen t-shirt: Put a t-shirt in the freezer, and then wait three or so hours. Once time has passed, take the shirt out and wear it outside. It’ll feel like a chilly hug.
8. Ice bath: This is an extremely fast and efficient way to cool down. Don’t worry about hypothermia, just enjoy the chill.
7. Large fan strap: Airflow shouldn’t be limited to one fan or room. Strap a personal fan around the waist to constantly have a breeze everywhere.
6. Praise the sun: Accept that there is no escaping the heat. Roll around in the grass and embrace the warmth.
5. Wear cucumbers: Create a spa space and put chilled, sliced cucumbers over your eyes. It won’t help much with managing the heat, but it will put the mind at ease. This is also a great form of skincare.
4. Go barefoot: Be free from social norms and release the heat by kicking off shoes. It’s okay if the ground is one hundred degree concrete or tile, just trust the process.
3. Hibernate: Although it’s unconventional, the heat cannot be felt when unconscious. Simply find a spot to relax and doze off.
2. Pickle popsicles: Disneyland was onto something when they decided to fry pickles and serve them unconventionally. This time, freeze them and enjoy; it can be a small act of rebellion.
1. Sprinkler karaoke: Turn up the volume and set up the backyard sprinkler, then grab a microphone and dance through the refreshing spray. Don’t regard the water seeping into any devices or clothes, just sing.
